Pierre Koran, his real name Eugène Delaisse, (born in 1934 in Mons) is a poet and novelist Belgian French language. He lives with his wife the small village of Erbisœul in the province of Hainaut. A primary school of Mons bears his name.

Pierre Koran wrote his first texts verse to the age of 9 years. The poet will be teacher, director of school, then professor ofhistory of the literature to the Conservatoire royal de Mons.

 

Over the years and books, the vocation of author of literature for the youth becomes a priority and sees devoted in 1989, Paris, by obtaining the first « Grand prix of poetry for youth.  »

 

It is the father of the writer Carl Who.
